Legal Process
NOTAM, SHGM notification, special permits. All the paperwork is the pilot's responsibility.
Professional drone footage with an SHGM-licensed pilot. 5.1K video and 48MP RAW photos with the DJI Mavic 3 Pro. Villas, hotels, yachts, events and architectural projects. NOTAM included, fully legal process.
The Fethiye-Ölüdeniz-Babadağ triangle holds one of Turkey's busiest low-altitude airspaces. On an average day, over 200 paragliders fly the Babadağ route, the 5 km radius around Dalaman Airport is a no-fly zone, and military areas plus nature park boundaries add further patchwork restrictions. In this geography, flying a drone is first a matter of reading the map and managing risk; aesthetics come second.
As an SHGM-licensed pilot, I check NOTAM through the Drone-Pilot app before every flight and submit a special permit application when needed. This process never falls on the client; it's the pilot's responsibility. I plan the flight around local knowledge too: catching the morning sun off the horizon for elevated villas in Kalkan, using Göcek's cove layout for afternoon light before switching to a boat-tracking shot toward evening, and framing the Ölüdeniz lagoon indirectly from the Belceğiz bay hills that sit outside the lagoon itself.
Moving toward Kaş and Kalkan, the topography rises, which affects the drone's horizontal line of sight. Shooting the Antiphellos ancient theatre in Kaş or Patara beach within the 120-meter ceiling requires careful pre-planning; I build the shot list with tools like PhotoPills or Litchi, factoring in the location's 3D model.
For equipment, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro is my primary aircraft: Hasselblad 4/3 sensor, 5.1K/50fps, 12-bit RAW. Footage shot in D-Log gives the full log range needed for professional color calibration. For restricted or limited zones, I have a sub-250g DJI Mini 4 Pro as a backup. For yacht promo films, the RC Pro controller keeps the link stable up to 2 km for tracking shots from a following boat.
From the legal process to delivery: SHGM-registered pilot, professional equipment, insured flight.
NOTAM, SHGM notification, special permits. All the paperwork is the pilot's responsibility.
DJI Mavic 3 Pro, D-Log, 50fps. Slow motion plus professional color grading.
Panoramic stitching, vertical panoramas (200MP+), reveal shots, top-down composition.
Active Track, follow shots, professional tracking for charter and yacht ad films.
I review the location's coordinates, weather and airspace status (open/restricted/special permit) in advance.
Permit is obtained through the Drone-Pilot app on the day of the flight. Pre-flight checklist, battery management, multiple angles.
D-Log to Rec.709 and color grading in DaVinci Resolve. Stabilization, speed ramping, composite panoramas.
4K MP4 (H.264) optimized for social media. Photo JPG (and RAW on request). Commercial use license.
A pilot who knows the cinematic framing of the Fethiye-Göcek-Kalkan coastline, disciplined with ND filters and manual settings.
Packages available for a single location (1-2 hours), half day (3-4 locations), and full day (yacht tracking / event coverage). In zones requiring special permits, the process adds 5-15 days, which needs to be factored into the schedule. The exact quote is tailored to the route, permit status and delivery format.
Get a Quote →Yes. In Turkey, all UAVs over 500g require SHGM registration, and the pilot must hold a valid license (A1/A3 or A2). Through the Drone-Pilot app, I submit a separate NOTAM/permit request for every flight before it happens. I don't fly in restricted zones (the Babadağ paragliding corridor, the 5 km radius around Dalaman Airport, military areas).
My primary aircraft is the DJI Mavic 3 Pro (Hasselblad sensor, 5.1K/50fps video, 12-bit RAW photo). As a backup I use the DJI Mini 4 Pro (under 250g, no permit required in restricted areas). Where needed, I can offer a DJI Air 3 dual-camera (tele + wide) alternative.
The Ölüdeniz lagoon and the Babadağ paragliding route are consistently restricted due to the nature park and active air traffic. I don't fly there. Alternative: I frame the lagoon indirectly from the coast, the end of Çalış beach, or the hills above Belceğiz bay, an aesthetic result that stays within the nature park's rules.
The Mavic 3 Pro is nominally rated up to 12 m/s wind resistance. In practice, the Meltemi wind that blows in the afternoon across the Fethiye-Göcek-Kalkan coves ranges from 8-15 m/s. Shoots are planned for mornings (07:00-11:00) and late afternoon (after 17:00) when the wind drops. In strong wind, the date is rescheduled at no cost.
Yes, I have specific experience with tracking (follow) shots from a boat. Boat speed needs to be between 5-12 knots, and the drone needs a stable area for manual landing. I regularly shoot for yacht ad films and charter companies across the Göcek-Fethiye coves.
Yes. We can capture both photo and video in a single flight. The standard package includes 8-15 photos plus 5-8 video clips. Clips are delivered as raw 4K and 5.1K footage; I can also edit them if you'd like (add-on package).
